From 2012- 2014 I taught four visual art classes per week at Church Street School for Music and Art and one art class per week at the Tribeca Whole Foods Market, both in downtown New York City. My classes were for students between the ages of 16 months to 3 years old and required an adult to be present with each child participant.

In class, I used a progressive process-based approach where the importance was placed on the experience and creative journey with the materials rather than the final product.

I started to document the student work by taking photos at different stages throughout each class. I created a Tumblr page called Chalk Paper Scissors as a visual diary using the photo documentation as the content.
